Website Terms of Use.

Last updated: 29 April 2026 Effective: 29 April 2026

This document governs the use of the capila.io website — copyright in the content, prohibition of scraping, responsibility for links, and use of free tools. It does not cover the processing of personal data (see Privacy Policy) or the provision of accounting, tax, or advisory services (which are governed by a separate service agreement we conclude with the client).

This document describes the rules for using the capila.io website. By accessing or using the website you agree to these terms. The website is operated by Capila, s. r. o.

1. Website operator

Capila, s. r. o., Bottova 2/A, 811 09 Bratislava — Staré Mesto ID No.: 54 649 447, Tax No.: 2121756725, VAT No.: SK2121756725 Registration: Commercial Register of the Bratislava III City Court, Sro, file no. 161568/B Contact: info@capila.io, +421 908 191 865

2. Copyright and intellectual property

All content on capila.io — texts, photographs, illustrations, graphic elements, logos, design, structure, icons, video, source code, and databases — is protected by Slovak Act No. 185/2015 Coll. (Copyright Act) and other intellectual property regulations. The owner or licensee is Capila, s. r. o., or third parties with whom Capila has a licence agreement.

Without our prior written consent, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, sell, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the website's content. The exceptions are:

  • Personal, non-commercial use — you may view, print, or save individual copies of the pages for your own use.
  • Quotation — short quotations citing the source and linking to the original page, to the extent appropriate to the purpose, under Section 37 of the Copyright Act.
  • Sharing — you may share links to public pages of the website without restriction.

The "Capila" trademark, logo, and name are owned by Capila, s. r. o. Use in advertising, on products, or in any way that may suggest partnership or endorsement requires our prior written consent.

3. Prohibition of automated access

Without our prior written consent, the following are prohibited:

  • Scraping — automated downloading of website content (by bots, crawlers, scrapers) beyond standard search robots that respect robots.txt.
  • Reverse engineering — analysis of source code, APIs, or data structures with the aim of replicating the service.
  • Training AI models — using the content of the website as training data for large language models (LLMs) or other machine-learning systems without Capila's express consent. This prohibition applies as an opt-out under Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and within the meaning of Section 35(4) of the Copyright Act — Capila hereby expressly reserves its rights under Article 4(3) of the Directive.
  • Infrastructure abuse — DoS/DDoS attacks, massive parallel requests, or any attempt to destabilise the website.
  • Bypassing security — attempts to gain access to non-public parts of the website, administrative interfaces, or other users' data.

Violations may lead to access blocking, civil claims for damages, and in serious cases criminal liability.

4. Free tools and calculators

The website may contain free tools — for example a pricing calculator, templates, checklists, or interactive CFO tools. We provide these tools "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Important:

  • The output of free tools is not a binding offer by Capila, nor is it professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. It is indicative guidance.
  • The pricing calculator shows a price estimate based on the inputs you provide. A binding price quote arises only after the initial consultation and is always confirmed in writing.
  • Templates and checklists may be used for your own purposes, but Capila is not responsible for their correct application in your specific case.
  • Before any financial or tax decision, we recommend consulting an expert — happy to help.

5. Links to third-party sites

The website may contain links to external websites (for example articles, tools, social media, the commercial register, financial portals). We do not operate these sites and have no control over them. Capila is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or for their own terms of use and privacy practices. Following external links is at your own risk.

We provide the links for informational purposes only; their inclusion does not imply endorsement, partnership, or approval of the content by Capila.

6. Limitation of liability

We provide the website and its content with due professional care, but without any warranty of uninterrupted availability, absence of errors, or full currency. The information on the website is informational in nature and does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice unless expressly agreed otherwise as part of our services.

To the extent permitted by law, Capila is not liable for:

  • damage incurred as a result of a decision based solely on information published on the website;
  • indirect, consequential, or speculative damages, lost profits, or data loss;
  • website outages caused by force majeure, hosting provider downtime, or necessary maintenance.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory provisions of Slovak law (in particular damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and personal injury).

7. Feedback and communication with us

If you send us a suggestion, question, complaint, or improvement idea via the website (form, email, Calendly), Capila may use it to improve services, the website, and content, free of charge, unless otherwise agreed. The processing of personal data you provide in such communications is governed by the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the effective date. For material changes, we will inform you via the website or email (if you are a newsletter subscriber) at least 30 days before they take effect. By continuing to use the website after the updated terms take effect, you express your consent to them.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and any relations arising from them are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, including directly applicable EU law. Slovak courts have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes, unless special legislation provides otherwise.

Consumers have the right to use an alternative dispute resolution body under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll. — the list is available on the website of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic — or to use the European Commission's platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
